In the Old Testament God’s family was the Israelites. In the New Testament God’s family is not limited to just one group of people but all creation has the means in which to enter in through Jesus. We see things now through a clouded lens the Father sees everything crystal clear. His ways are beyond our understanding and are so far above our limited thinking.
“I am” is all knowing, all powerful and present in every situation.
Allow God to be God knowing that He is in total control. He will work everything out for the good of all those who believe in His salvation through the cross of Jesus Christ. We are the Body of Christ.
Stay true, trusting in His course for man and He will give you peace in all things!
God had placed a hedge of protection around Job and his household. No harm could come to him unless the Lord permitted it. Believers today should take great comfort from the biblical teaching that the Lord protects His people. Satan asserted that Job would surely curse God if his prosperity and blessings were removed. That Satan must receive permission from the Lord to lay a hand on Job indicates that God limits Satan’s power. Satan’s actions are limited by God’s sovereign control.
Job 1:6-12
6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. 7 And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?”
So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”
8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”
9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”
12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.”
So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
