Song of Solomon 2:14 We are hidden in Christ

We are hidden in Christ and protected from the evils of this world. Covered under His wings we are safe. To each of us He has given talents that are our own. praying that we make the most of the gifts He has given us.

The  Father  loves us so very much and He ask so little of us but to believe in the power of the Cross and the tutelage of Holy Spirit to do what we cannot. And then spread that Good News to others so that they can join Him in Christ Jesus!

What does God require of us?

Micah 6:8

He has shown you, O man, what is good;

And what does the Lord require of you

But to do justly,

To love mercy,

And to walk humbly with your God?

Jeremiah 48:28

You who dwell in Moab,

Leave the cities and dwell in the rock,

And be like the dove which makes her nest

In the sides of the cave’s mouth.

Song of Solomon 2:14

14 “O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret places of the cliff, Let me see your face, Let me hear your voice; For your voice is sweet, And your face is lovely.”

The New King James Version

The church is Christ’s dove; she returns to him, as her Noah. Christ is the Rock, in whom alone she can think herself safe, and find herself easy, as a dove in the hole of a rock, when struck at by the birds of prey. Christ calls her to come boldly to the throne of grace, having a great High Priest there, to tell what her request is. Speak freely, fear not a slight or a repulse. The voice of prayer is sweet and acceptable to God; those who are sanctified have the best comeliness. Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary

We are, all of us, builders.
We are, all of us, about the business of building places and spaces for human dignity and inclusion, and kindness and compassion, and justice and hope. For resilience and confidence and courage and safety and wellbeing. But this is important. This parable is not meant to scold us into making a difference. It’s a recognition that we have been created and are able to do so. This is not about bootstraps and will power and consternation. This is about letting the language of our (replenished and not overwhelmed) heart speak. Letting the light inside—the Imago Dei—spill.

As builders, this is abundantly clear: We are connected. Every single one of us.

“Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. This is the interrelated structure of reality,” Martin Luther King Jr. reminds us.

Receiving his induction into TV’s Hall of Fame, Fred Rogers tells the audience, “We are chosen to be servants, it doesn’t matter what our particular job.”

MLK’s reminder, "If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way."

“There is always light. If only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to be it.” Amanda Gorman. Sabbath Moments

Listen to the way God described the builder Bezalel. “I have filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, intelligence and skill in all kinds of crafts” (Exodus 31:3 NLT). Can you hear the pleasure in God’s voice? Max Lucado
