Luke 8:48-50 Faith and trust in God

Have Faith in Gods’ power to accomplish everything that we cannot. He holds everyone and everything in the palm of His hand and We are safe in His love for us. He is a miracle working God.

Luke 7:50 Then He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”

Trust God, knowing that He loves us, He knows the desires of our heart  and He hears our prayers for salvation for those we love.

All of Scripture is valuable for studying the history of Gods’ dealings and expectations with mankind. It foretells  of the life of the world to come where  Jesus Christ  will reign forever.

When we have lost our way, we can find great comfort in knowing we belong to a loving God who calls us by name. Perhaps we have forged our own path and listened to the wrong voices…

The religious experts were so focused on following Old Testament laws that they didn't understand how Jesus came to fulfill the law; their voices of condemnation were loud, but their message led many astray. In contrast, Jesus spoke with compassion to point everyone who would listen to Him toward God's Truth (John 10:7-9;  Matthew 9:36).

If we place our faith in Jesus to forgive us of our sins, we gain access to His presence and assurance that He will provide everything we need to spiritually thrive (Psalm 23:1). Only by listening carefully to His voice will we truly find peace, satisfaction and comfort beyond what this world can offer.

The sure voice of our Savior will always lead us to safety. When we follow Him, we experience life to the full now and gain the hope of eternal life in heaven (John 10:10;  John 17:3). We can rest in His care and comfort today.

The Lord always leads with love and goes ahead of His sheep to protect us. Instead of driving us with fear, He places Himself between His flock and any danger. First 5

So many times in our lives, we get caught up in our own burdens, distresses, disruptions and distractions. And now, preoccupied with uneasiness, apprehension and fear we don’t recognize that the stranger, standing there with us, is Jesus. Sabbath Moments

In God’s great gospel, he not only sends, he becomes. He lives with. He lives as one of us. He knows our hurt, he knows our hunger, he knows betrayal. Most of all, he knows sin. He knows them better than you do. He knows their price, because he paid it. “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God” (1 Peter 3:18). God knows you. Max Lucado

Luke 8:48-50 And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.” 50 But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.” The New King James Version

Observe Christ’s comfortable words to Jairus, Fear not, believe only, and thy daughter shall be made whole. No less hard was it not to grieve for the loss of an only child, than not to fear the continuance of that grief. But in perfect faith there is no fear; the more we fear, the less we believe. The hand of Christ’s grace goes with the calls of his word, to make them effectual. Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary

Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour. When Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd wailing, He said to them, “Make room, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping.” And they ridiculed Him. But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose. And the report of this went out into all that land.

Mark 5:34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?”As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.”
