Mark 1:32-34

Our God is the God of Miracles.

From the beginning man has limited His direction in their lives by placing limitations on the appropriate times and events. He wants to heal the whole of us…mind, body and most importantly, our spirit.

He always comes in when He is invited!

This is from Paul’s Letter to the Colossians, "So; chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength and discipline. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.”

I like the paradigm shift.  We are not mandated to design or create or assemble the wardrobe.

Only that we inhabit the wardrobe we’ve been given.

Mark 1:32-34

32 At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to Him all who were sick and those who were demon-possessed. 33 And the whole city was gathered together at the door. 34 Then He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him. The New King James Version

When the sun had set indicates the close of the Sabbath day, after which the prohibition against work ended. The townspeople, who observed the law, waited until this moment to bring the sick and demon-possessed people to Jesus. Jesus continues to veil His true identity. Jesus’ true identity so challenged the religious leaders of the time that it led to His execution. Mark’s Gospel notes that Jesus is aware that the unveiling of His true identity, as God’s Son and the Messiah, will lead to His death. Faithlife Study Bible

Wherever Christ comes, he comes to do good. He cures, that we may minister to him, and to others who are his, and for his sake. Those kept from public ordinances by sickness or other real hinderances, may expect the Saviour’s gracious presence; he will soothe their sorrows, and abate their pains. Observe how numerous the patients were. When others speed well with Christ, it should quicken us in seeking after him. Matthew Henry Commentary

Matthew 8:16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,

Matthew 8:17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.”

Mark 3:12 But He sternly warned them that they should not make Him known.

Luke 4:40 When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them.

Luke 4:41 And demons also came out of many, crying out and saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of God!”And He, rebuking them, did not allow them to speak, for they knew that He was the Christ.
