Nahum 1:7

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and He will direct your path. He will never leave you nor forsake you!

Infinite is His mercy and grace.

When we invite  Jesus into our life God places His shield of faith over us. He is able to do all that we cannot when we trust in His righteousness and not in our own works.

Psalm 34:8 Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

There is a rest for God’s people. We can trust our burdens into His loving arms and rest in Him.

We find teachings regarding rest in the creation account in Genesis, in the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:8-11) and throughout the writings of the prophets. Jesus also mentioned our need for rest: "And he said to them, 'The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath'" (Mark 2:27). Jesus, who invites us to eternal rest through faith in Him, recognized rest as a human need.

As we "seek out a resting place" for ourselves we can slow down and connect with our Creator. We return to Him as we see Him in Creation, read His Word, gather with other believers or just be still. He designed us, so He knows our need for sleep, recreation and holy assembly. First5

Nahum 1:7

7 The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him. The New King James Version

The Hebrew term here denotes the sense of protection or providence. Faithlife Study Bible

For the righteous, this is the best news of all. Because we know that the Lord is good, we can endure the tribulations of life. The NKJV Study Bible

The anger of the Lord is contrasted with his goodness to his people. Perhaps they are obscure and little regarded in the world, but the Lord knows them. Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary

2 Samuel 22:3 The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; my Savior, You save me from violence.

Psalm 17:7 Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You from those who rise up against them.
