Philippians 1:9-11

There are some messages that I am given that are clearer than others. Holy Spirit has used 9-11 often as a sure way to get my attention. Please help me to clearly hear You and take to heart the importance of the message.

You will know other believers by the fruit of the Spirit revealed in their life. Love above all!!!!

Galatians 5:22-26
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Thank you for Your faithfulness I am so unworthy. I love you!

As Paul explains, love (agapē) involves putting others before oneself. The knowledge that Paul has in mind is not just intellectual but experiential, acquired through acts of love. The Greek term used here for discernment, aisthēsis, refers to the ability to make decisions for the benefit of others. When love abounds, we will be able to determine what is most valuable or beneficial to the community of believers. Faithlife Bible.

The love that Paul sought for the believers is the highest form of Christian love, based on a lasting, unconditional commitment, not on an unstable emotion. The first of two terms on which a directed love is built, knowledge suggests an intimate understanding based on a relationship with the person. Here the focus of this knowledge is God. Found only here in the NT, discernment, the Greek word means moral or ethical understanding based on both the intellect and the senses. The word implies perception or insight into social situations.

The purpose of increasing in love, controlled by knowledge, is to be able to evaluate people and situations correctly. Christ died to free the church from every blemish. Paul conveys the sense of not striking out at someone. The goal ahead for the believer is the day of Christ in which the believer will stand for evaluation before the Savior, who is the faithful and true witness. NKJ Bible.

Philippians 1: 9-19
And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge (acquired through acts of love)and all discernment (the ability to make decisions for the benefit of others), 10 that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, 11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness (The fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-26) which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

John 15:8 | By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Ephesians 2:10 | For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Colossians 1:6 | which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;
