1 Corinthians 2:10-16

The HOLY SPIRIT takes the teachings of CHRIST and brings them to life in our walk. We then walk in the newness of life that is only possible in and through Him. Seek and you WILL find! Ask and it WILL be given to you, knock and the door WILL be open. To the praise and glory of HIs name!

Jesus gave all so that we could have all understanding and no longer walk in darkness.

God has shown the hidden wisdom of God to those who follow Christ. Paul argues that people desiring to know more or have greater wisdom should seek to walk more closely with Christ, as God reveals His eternal work to people this way. Just as people know their own minds, so the Spirit (pneuma in Greek) knows the things of God. While God’s work is eternal, everything of this world is temporal—including current rulers and evil spiritual beings. Without God’s help through the Spirit, people lack the ability to understand His plans. Paul again stresses that a true understanding of spiritual things occurs only with the aid of God’s Spirit.

The presence of the Spirit grants believers the ability to discern God’s will and works within them to make them more like Christ. Faithlife Bible.

Paul emphasized that the intellectuals of this world could not teach the knowledge he was giving to the Corinthian believers. Note that the Spirit did not simply dictate words to Paul and the other apostles; He taught them. The apostles related with their own vocabulary and style what they had learned from the Spirit.

Only the Holy Spirit could reveal the truths of God. NKJ Bible.

1 Corinthians 2:10–16 (NKJV)
10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

Proverbs 20:27 (NKJV)
27 The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord,
Searching all the inner depths of his heart.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 (NKJV)
7 Then the dust will return to the earth as it was,
And the spirit will return to God who gave it.
