Luke 16:14-15

Our gifts and talents are given to us to care for our family and to care for those who are in need..they are not given to us to be hoarded and stored up. That is not to say that we can be irresponsible about planning for our future and for our retirement but a tithe needs to be set apart to do the work of God in His house and for His creation…people.

Love God with all you heart, mind and soul and esteem others above yourself.

Money cannot become our lesser god.

What does God require of us?

He requires us to be fair… Freely forgive… Live a humble life of gratitude for His mercy and grace being a good stewart knowing ALL things come from Him.

mammon (Gk. mammōnas) Strong’s #3126: The Greek word is a transliteration of a common Aramaic word mamona, which means “wealth,” “money,” or “property.” It is impossible to serve this god called “mammon” and the true God at the same time.

Luke 16:14-15
14 Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. 15 And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

29 But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
Luke 10:29

Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.
Matthew 6:2

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.

1 Chronicles 28:9

3For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire; He blesses the greedy and renounces the Lord.
Psalm 10:3

5Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; Though they join forces, none will go unpunished.

Proverbs 16:5
