Daniel 9:25 Even in troublesome times God reigns.

God will never abandon His covenant people. Jesus will reign as their King.

Daniel 9:25

25 “Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times. The New King James Version

We need to be discerning when it comes to the truth. The salvation of Jesus Christ, as presented in Scripture, is the criteria by which we judge. Do not be deceived by any doctrine that is not based on the holy work of the Cross. Satan works overtime to deceive God’s children. He uses the well intentioned  to preach a gospel of deception. The birth, death and resurrection of Jesus is the only thing that saves mankind. Accept nothing else. Jesus died in our place for the worlds’ sin.

Greater is Holy Spirit in you as believers than he that is in the world.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Addressing the 12 Apostles Jesus prophesied of His crucifixion and His resurrection.  He also warned them not to be deceived by those who preach any salvation other than the Cross. The end of the age would be woven with deception. Jesus, His birth, His death in our place and His resurrection is the only way to the Father. He opened the door to our reconciliation with God.

Matthew 24:1 Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”

2 Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.

There are false teachers. Test their teachings against Scripture. Jesus, the gift of God, is the only way to the Father. God is able to keep us by the power of Holy Spirit  in  the truth of Jesus Christ. The mystery of sin in the deception of Satan only wants to kill and destroy our faith.Carla

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

The Hebrew word translated here as “to restore” can also be translated “to return”—a reference to the fact that the Israelites will return from captivity. The resulting concept of returning and rebuilding Jerusalem reflects Daniel’s requests in his prayer. In Daniel’s request that God remove His wrath and anger from His city, Daniel also implies his hope that Judah can return to Jerusalem. Also, his request that God’s face shine upon His sanctuary expresses Daniel’s hope that God’s temple will be rebuilt.

Others believe this language and imagery refers to the messianic arrival of Jesus, the great high priest of New Testament theology. Seven weeks in the traditional Hebrew Masoretic Text, punctuation clearly separates the seven weeks from the 62 weeks. This would require that the two periods of weeks not be read together—the anointed one does not come after a total of 69 weeks rather, he comes after the first seven weeks. There are, therefore, two anointed ones in this passage. Faithlife Study Bible

One commonly held interpretation maintains that the sixty-two weeks can be added to the seven weeks of verse 25, resulting in a total of 69 weeks, or 483 years. If these years are added to the date of the decree of Artaxerxes in Neh. 2, 445 b.c., with an adjustment to allow for the use of a 360-day year, the end of the 69 weeks coincides with the date of the crucifixion of Jesus.

Messiah shall be cut off may be a reference to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The phrase cut off means “to destroy, to kill.” The fact that Jesus Christ died not for Himself but for the sins of the world may support the view that the Messiah in this verse refers to Jesus Himself. The prince who is to come may be a reference to the Antichrist. The NKJV Study Bible

John 4:25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.”

John 1:41 He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ).

Amanda Gorman’s reminder, “For there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it. If only we're brave enough to be it.”
So today, as we honor the memory of 9/11, and the lives lost, and the families who grieve, what does it mean to be a spiller of hope?
Even in darkness, can we hear the invitation to be spillers of hope and light?

Because here’s the deal: “The plain fact is that the planet does not need more successful people. But it does desperately need more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of every kind. It needs people who live well in their places. It needs people of moral courage willing to join the fight to make the world habitable and humane. And these qualities have little to do with success as we have defined it.” (Thank you, David W. Sin leads us into exile, separating us from God's goodness and presence, yet He can use even this as a means of grace to move our hearts to return to Him. As we endure hurt and hardship, we can feel lost as we wander in this world. But thanks to our loving Father, even the places of pain can become places of grace when we ask for His help. Today those who believe in Christ are never without God's grace or without God, even in exile, for Christ Himself is our home. First5
