Acts 13:2-3

We are created for good works and each of us has a calling to do them in the name of Jesus the Christ.

It is our job to listen closely to the Holy Spirit and not kick against the goads.

goad |gōd|
verb [ with obj. ]
1 provoke or annoy (someone) so as to stimulate some action or reaction: he goaded her on to more daring revelations.
2 drive or urge (an animal) on with a goad.
noun
a spiked stick used for driving cattle.
  • a thing that stimulates someone into action: for him the visit was a goad to renewed effort.

As the people carried out what God had given them to do as prophets or teachers, their ministry to the church became their ministry to the Lord.

Whenever we serve each other, God accepts that service as directly unto Him.

Acts 13:2-3
As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.
