Matthew 25:35

Only in the power of the Holy Spirit can we stand.

When everyone and everything we depend upon is unavailable we will finally get it…ALONE WE CAN DO NOTHING….in utter dependence upon God He will lift us up.

The world as we know it is finite but God is not and with His infinite mercy He provided salvation for man in Jesus Christ …. it is truly finished.

infinite |ˈinfənit|
adjective
1 limitless or endless in space, extent, or size; impossible to measure or calculate: the infinite mercy of God

In the first century, the Jews looked for a Messiah who would deliver the nation from Roman domination, become their King, and rebuild the nation of Israel to its former glory. By looking for a military deliverer and a political Messiah, the Jews minimized the messianic roles of prophet and priest.

Thus many Jews rejected Jesus as the Messiah because He came as a humble spiritual Savior and not a conquering political ruler.

Matthew 25:35

35 Peter said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!”
And so said all the disciples.

37 Peter said to Him, “Lord, why can I not follow You now? I will lay down my life for Your sake.”
John 13:37

38 Jesus answered him, “Will you lay down your life for My sake? Most assuredly, I say to you, the rooster shall not crow till you have denied Me three times.
John 13:38

31 And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
Luke 22:31–32

32 Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.
John 16:32

38 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Mark 14:38
