Mark 6:4-6

Just B. E. L. I. E. V. E.

In the measure that you believe in His righteousness and in His power is the measure that you can receive!

If Jesus, all God/all man, was restricted by the people’s unbelief how much more does it work against fellow believers. We need to make our good works so shine before men that others see those good works even in the most stressing times and believe in the power of God to change people and situations.

We won’t win everyone to Jesus but those who God knew beforehand would….will come and that is sufficient.

A prophet is not without honor except in his own country is a maxim still repeated and still true today. Perhaps others were jealous of Jesus’ popularity and huge following. Their envy even took the form of violence against Christ.

Mark 6:4-6
But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.” Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief.

23 Jesus said to him, “If You can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Mark 9:23

57 So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.”
Matthew 13:57

24 Then He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country.
Luke 4:24

44 For Jesus Himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.
John 4:44

58 Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Matthew 13:58
