Luke 12:47-48

There is a price to pay for being enlightened to the truth of Jesus Christ. We would do well to consider the cost and then to choose our path with care. Those who hold onto the truth until the end of their tenure here on earth will be rewarded for their faithfulness. According to the Scriptures  the only unforgivable sin is calling what is done through the Holy Spirit evil. God will not tolerate us grieving His heart, the Holy Spirit, who gives us light through sharing with us the truth of His Son.
The parable suggests degrees of God’s punishment: The faithful are rewarded, the ignorant are disciplined a little, the disobedient are disciplined moderately, and the blatantly disobedient are executed. In each case, the stewardship of the servant is evaluated.
Luke 12:47-48
47 And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.
