Micah 4:6-7

God is into the restoration business. All those that the world throws out as defective but have placed their trust in Him, He in His infinite mercy and grace saves and rebuilds. In their brokenness and under His shield of protection they thrive and become strong.

Those who were abused by the wicked leaders of Israel would be exalted by the Lord. Those whom God had driven from the land would be the people of His new kingdom. This is a remarkable surprise—a surprise of grace. The majority of people in Israel did not live their lives in faith and dedication to the Lord. However, true faith never really died out in Israel, even in the worst of times.

Micah 4:6-7

6 “In that day,” says the Lord,

“I will assemble the lame,

I will gather the outcast

And those whom I have afflicted;

7 I will make the lame a remnant,

And the outcast a strong nation;

So the Lord will reign over them in Mount Zion

From now on, even forever.
