John 3:14-18 As believers our actions show Jesus to the world.

 John 3:14-18 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

Salvation comes from believing in Jesus Christ and having faith in Him. Jesus did everything we couldn’t do, and He’s the gift of God to all who believe in Him. Jesus didn’t leave us alone; He gave us the Holy Spirit to guide and protect us every day of our lives.

Isaiah 2:2

Now it shall come to pass in the latter days

That the mountain of the Lord’s house

Shall be established on the top of the mountains,

And shall be exalted above the hills;

And all nations shall flow to it.

From the start of time, the plan for Jesus Christ’s salvation was set in motion. With the gift of free will, we have the power to make choices that affect both our earthly and our spiritual walk. In Jesus Christ, we can overcome  life and death.

Isaiah 9:6-7

For unto us a Child is born,

Unto us a Son is given;

And the government will be upon His shoulder.

And His name will be called

Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of His government and peace

There will be no end,

Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,

To order it and establish it with judgment and justice

From that time forward, even forever.

The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Jesus, the perfect Son of man both human and divine, came to offer His salvation to us all. It all began  with the Jews, but His message is now for everyone who by faith believes in Him. In the future, He’ll rule from the throne of David, and it’ll be a kingdom without corruption or lies. It will be a glorious Kingdom that will honor God above all and all of His creation will be at peace.

Isaiah 11:1-9 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse,

And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.

The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,

The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,

The Spirit of counsel and might,

The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.

His delight is in the fear of the Lord,

And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes,

Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;

But with righteousness He shall judge the poor,

And decide with equity for the meek of the earth;

He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,

And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.

Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins,

And faithfulness the belt of His waist.

The Spirit of the Lord rest on Jesus and He will rule with righteousness. As humans, we can’t possibly know everything about the world. But Jesus will have complete understanding of everything. He won’t need anyone to advise him. There will be peace for all of His creation. No more death. No more tears. No more destruction. And everyone will have the knowledge of the Lord. When the Kingdom is established, all who trust in Him will be invited to join the Redeemer King.

Daniel 7:13-14

“I was watching in the night visions,

And behold, One like the Son of Man,

Coming with the clouds of heaven!

He came to the Ancient of Days,

And they brought Him near before Him.

Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom,

That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him.

His dominion is an everlasting dominion,

Which shall not pass away,

And His kingdom the one

Which shall not be destroyed.

The Son of man, Jesus the Christ, will return and He will have dominion over all nations that all may serve God. It will be an everlasting Kingdom and it will never be destroyed.

Revelation 5 So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it. But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.”

And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.

God the Father is on the throne and Jesus, the lion of the tribe of Judah, the Lamb of God, slain for the salvation of the world, to Him it was given  the right to rule in the righteousness of God. Jesus was a man of great faithfulness and truth, and He was also the Word of God made flesh. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. God promised to show mercy to the house of Israel and bring them back to their homeland. He will also pour out His Spirit on them. Because of this, all the nations of the world will be blessed. Every time the words lifted up occur in the Gospel of John there is a reference to Jesus’ death. When Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness those who looked at it lived. So it is with the Son of Man. This is the first time eternal life is mentioned in John’s Gospel. When a person trusts Christ, he or she is born again and receives eternal and spiritual life, God’s kind of life.

God’s love is not restricted to any one nation or to any spiritual elite. World here may also include all of creation.

At His first coming, Jesus came so that the world through Him might be saved. When Jesus comes again, He will come in judgment upon those who refused His offer of salvation. To believe is to receive life and avoid judgment. A person who does not believe not only misses life, but is condemned already. The NKJV Study Bible

Our interactions can either mar our reputation as Christians or mirror Christ. For the gospel to spread, Christ followers are to " be without reproach" (1 Timothy 5:7), meaning we live with integrity before the watching world. So in this highly practical passage, Paul laid out principles of integrity for our intergenerational interactions and our interactions with those in need. First5
