Matthew 16:27–28

Rewards have nothing to do with our salvation. They are the result of the works that we do to further the Kingdom.

We have been blessed by the gift of salvation and it is up to us to spread the Good News to all who will accept it! God wants no one to perish.

John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Jesus will return again in glory!

Can you imagine a life with no fear? “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). Max Lucado

Matthew 16:27–28

27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. 28 Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.” The New King James Version

This verse anticipates the Transfiguration. Several reasons point to this conclusion: (1) It is Peter’s interpretation in 2 Peter 1:16–18; (2) the three synoptic Gospels (John omits the account of the Transfiguration) all place the Transfiguration immediately after this prediction; and (3) some—not all—of the apostles saw the Transfiguration. In the Transfiguration, Peter, James, and John saw a preview of the kingdom. The NKJV Study Bible

Psalm 62:12

Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy;

For You render to each one according to his work.

Matthew 26:64 Jesus said to him, “It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Acts 1:11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

Revelation 1:7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
