Luke 6:24-26

God’s way are higher than the mountains and none of us will truly understand them while here on earth!! There is a justice reserved for His creation.

Luke 6:25-26
24 “But woe to you who are rich,
For you have received your consolation.
25 Woe to you who are full,
For you shall hunger.
Woe to you who laugh now,
For you shall mourn and weep.
26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you,
For so did their fathers to the false prophets.

In contrast to God’s true prophets, who were mistreated and killed. Those most deserving of death—the false prophets—were allowed to live. Faithlife Bible.

A woe is a cry of pain that results from misfortune. Just as God presented blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience, Jesus presented blessings and woes to His disciples who were anticipating the kingdom. The same blessings and woes apply to believers today when their works are evaluated. All that the rich receive is what they acquire on earth. Luke records many of Jesus’ critical remarks about the wealthy. Their wealth typically blinds them to their spiritual poverty and their need for salvation. NKJ Bible.

Proverbs 14:13 | Even in laughter the heart may sorrow, and the end of mirth may be grief.

Isaiah 65:13 | Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, My servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry; behold, My servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty; behold, My servants shall rejoice, but you shall be ashamed;

Amos 6:1 | Woe to you who are at ease in Zion, and trust in Mount Samaria, notable persons in the chief nation,To whom the house of Israel comes!

Matthew 6:2 | Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

Luke 12:21 | “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
