Job 12:13-25

God always has the last word. Jesus is the word made flesh…His final gift to mankind!

In times like these the prudent remain silent.

Job describes the scope of God’s power. He points out God’s wisdom and says no one can change God’s work. He speaks of God’s supremacy over several areas: the weather, earthly leaders and authorities, light and darkness, and the nations of the earth. Faithlife Bible.

God’s coming reversal of human wisdom is desired by all who presently suffer the arrogance of people who prate their knowledge with no fear of the living God. NKJ Bible.

Job 12:13–25
13 “With Him are wisdom and strength,
He has counsel and understanding.
14 If He breaks a thing down, it cannot be rebuilt;
If He imprisons a man, there can be no release.
15 If He withholds the waters, they dry up;
If He sends them out, they overwhelm the earth.
16 With Him are strength and prudence.
The deceived and the deceiver are His.
17 He leads counselors away plundered,
And makes fools of the judges.
18 He loosens the bonds of kings,
And binds their waist with a belt.
19 He leads princes away plundered,
And overthrows the mighty.
20 He deprives the trusted ones of speech,
And takes away the discernment of the elders.
21 He pours contempt on princes,
And disarms the mighty.
22 He uncovers deep things out of darkness,
And brings the shadow of death to light.
23 He makes nations great, and destroys them;
He enlarges nations, and guides them.
24 He takes away the understanding of the chiefs of the people of the earth,
And makes them wander in a pathless wilderness.
25 They grope in the dark without light,
And He makes them stagger like a drunken man.

Genesis 7:11 | In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

Genesis 7:12 | And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.

Psalm 107:40 | He pours contempt on princes, And causes them to wander in the wilderness where there is no way;

Daniel 2:22 | He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him.

1 Corinthians 4:5 | Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God.
