Christ in us, the very heart of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit resides in those who believe in the salvation that Jesus provides. We marvel that we are entrusted with the direction and guidance of Him who abides in us and through us works out God’s plan for mankind. Christ in us the hope of glory.
Psalm 34:8 says, “Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!”
As the good shepherd, Jesus had the power—that is, the authority—not only to voluntarily lay down His life for the sheep, but also to take it up again. No one but God can do that.
John 10:17-18
17 “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”
20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.
John 5:20
