God wants no one to perish...no not one! There is no one righteous and we all need to come to God through the redemptive Blood of Jesus Christ there is no other way.
The older son proclaimed his righteousness and argued that justice had not been done. The younger son realized his own unrighteousness and his need for a Savior.
Luke 15:10
10 Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
Luke 15:31
31 “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. 32 It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’ ”
