God’s agape love for man covers all our sins in the blood of His Son. When we accept the salvation of Jesus Christ, which is the gift of God to all who choose to believe, we are redeemed. We should practice this same selfless love in our relationships with others.
This verse describes interpersonal relationships. When people respond in love to each other, they cover over the sins, or offenses, that would otherwise come between them.
Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all sins.
