God is our Father. He especially cares for households where husbands or fathers are absent. When we call out to God and place our trust in Him He will provide the way to abundant life. Woe to those who make children fatherless and women widows. Praise Him for His goodness and His loving care!
Yah is a shortened form of the divine name Yahweh. There is a significant emphasis on the name of God. For all people, He is in His holy habitation, dispensing justice.
68:4 Sing to God, sing praises to His name;
Extol Him who rides on the clouds.
And rejoice before Him.
5 A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows,
Is God in His holy habitation.
6 God sets the solitary in families;
He brings out those who are bound into prosperity;
But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
