Mark 3:23-26

Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. He did not leave us alone the Father sent Holy Spirit!

Holy Spirit is the strong one in our life here on earth. In His power and unity we stand strong.

Without His guidance and teaching we are left defenseless in a fallen world.

Joshua 24:15And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

But the hope of salvation and eternal life with Jesus, the forgiveness of our sins, and the promise of the Holy Spirit to guide us are gifts that hold the greatest value and can never be destroyed or taken away from us (Matthew 6:19-20;  1 Peter 1:4).

Christ's death on the cross and His resurrection are the best blessings we could ever receive … and we've done nothing to earn them. Our motivation for obedience to God should never be our desire for blessings but rather our love for God and gratitude for the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus.

As St. Bernard of Clairvaux, a religious leader in the 12th century, once wrote, "The soul that loves God seeks no other reward than that God whom it loves."

We're called to (share) what we have to offer: our resources, our abilities and our time. These acts allow us to share God's love with those around us who are in need.

"Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God" (Hebrews 13:16).

Mark 3:23-26

24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end. 27 No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house. The New King James Version

Jesus’ reply in parables was actually a threefold message that contrasted unity and disunity. Nothing—including Satan’s kingdom—can stand if it is divided. Whoever defeats Satan must be stronger than he.   The NKJV Study Bible

Jesus’ parables contained truths about the kingdom of God. The defining mark of a disciple of God’s kingdom is allegiance to Jesus and His teaching. Faithlife Study Bible

Matthew 12:25 But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.

Matthew 12:29 Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.
