1 Corinthians 3:5-11

My eyes were opened as a child at St. Mary’s of Assumption. The priest and nuns there planted the seeds of my faith. My grandmother, by her example, showed me the way to the Father. The Holy Spirit watered the seeds and I believed! He was, is, and will always be my dear spiritual guide who has taught me that love conquers all!

It is not about the messenger…it is about the message.

He gave me a beautiful analogy of the Master Builder and the choices that are ours to make and the choices that were His alone to make for us. He never gives up on us…even when we are the prodigal sons and daughters that wander far from Him. He never leaves us nor forsakes us but follows us all the days of our lives. Faith pleases God!!!

This life is not all about us…it is about Jesus, and the sacrifice that He made to allow us to come home to the Father.

The Corinthian believers heard and received the gospel message from both Paul and Apollos. Presents a unified picture of the church community. Faithlife Bible.

Paul had planted, or started, the church in Corinth; Apollos had watered it and had a significant ministry there after Paul left. But both men were only servants through whom God worked. The ones who plant and water have nothing to boast about because God gives the increase: Only God draws unbelievers to Himself. It is our responsibility to do our job no matter what the results, for God will reward us for our efforts and the quality of our work. NKJ Bible.

1 Corinthians 3:5–11 (NKJV)
Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.
For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. 11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 28:16 (NKJV)
16 Therefore thus says the Lord God:
“Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation,
A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation;
Whoever believes will not act hastily.

1 Corinthians 4:15 (NKJV)

15 For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
