In our failing to do what we know we should, we hurt others and ourselves but most importantly we hurt God.
God does not cause war, death, poverty, He does not choose our leaders. These are manmade and caused through mans choices.
He gave mankind free will.
He does make things work for good for those who repent, change and entrust their life to Him. He takes those times that we were defeated by Satan and turns them into victory.
What we cannot do…He can. Jesus changed everything!
The parable suggests degrees of God’s punishment. In each case, the stewardship of the servant is evaluated. NKJ Bible.
Luke 12:47–48 (NKJV)
47 And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.
