Luke 11:52

By binding Christianity in the doctrine of men we disillusion those who are entering into the love of God through faith alone. The Father takes us just as we are at the time and then molds us from the inside out into the image of His Son.

The simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by faith troubles those who think that they can earn entry into the grace of God.

Jesus charged the lawyers with doing the opposite of what they claimed their calling to be. Rather than bringing people nearer to God, they had removed the possibility of their entering into that knowledge, and had prevented others from understanding as well.

Luke 11:52
52 “Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered.”

“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

Matthew 23:13
