Love is the only way to the Father and eternal life

The life of Jesus reveals God’s nature to man. In accepting the salvation that the Father offers in His Son we are redeemed to God through His righteousness. The Holy Spirit comes into our life in that moment to take the nature of God revealed in Jesus Christ and teaches us the ways of the Trinity.

How do we accomplish what God wants for our life?

By loving Him above all and loving others as much as we do ourselves!

Jesus declares His unique relationship with God the Father. The Lord reveals Himself only through Jesus. To know God, one must know His Son, Jesus. Jesus was not saying that righteousness is the result of works. Rather He was saying that love for and obedience to God will be a natural result of placing one’s faith in the Lord. Those who believe in Jesus and follow Him will receive eternal rewards.

Luke 10:21-22
²¹ In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said,  “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. ²² All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.”

What does Jesus reveal to us about the Father and the way to eternal life?

Luke 10:25-28
²⁵ And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 
²⁶ He said to him,  “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?” 
²⁷ So he answered and said, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’” 
²⁸ And He said to him,  “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.”
