Galatians 5:13-15

The way that we treat others will determine how we are treated by others. If we need to tear others down in order to make ourselves look good we are destined for destruction. The world's dog eat dog mentality destroys lives and promotes wars and hatred. Christ called us to live freely by following Him in truth and righteousness. What does He ask of us….to love one another!

Liberty presents an opposite temptation from legalism. A person can be tempted to view freedom in Christ as a selfish opportunity for the flesh, in other words, an opportunity to do whatever one wants to do. Living in Christ empowers us to love others, which is the fulfillment of the law. Those who criticize and attack usually end up being consumed in worthless struggles.

5:13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." 15 But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another.
