John 14:1 We can have peace in a world of chaos in Christ.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

In a world where chaos begs you to attend to it, be the peace that God grants to those who believe and trust in Him. Others will know us by the love we give. God cares for all of us!

John 14:1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

God may allow evil to exist but only because He loves all of His creation…not just believers. He doesn’t want any person to perish. There will come a time that His grace will end. Pray for both God’s grace on humanity and for His return. Carla

Jesus reiterates to His disciples that faith in Him alone will bring salvation. He uses another metaphorical “I am” statement—this time that He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Faithlife Study Bible.

After announcing Judas’s betrayal (13:21), His own imminent departure (13:33), and Peter’s denial (13:38), Jesus told His disciples not to be troubled, but to trust Him. The NKJV Study Bible

John 16:22–24 Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.“And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you…

Psalm 4:5

Offer the sacrifices of righteousness,

And put your trust in the LORD.

John 3:15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

John 11:33 Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled

And here are two quotes from this week to carry with us.

“Life is like that too. It asks us to hold contradictions: energy and exhaustion, hope and despair, love and fear. In all this talk about artificial intelligence, I said, there is so little talk about authentic humanity. Now that we no longer have to be the smartest in the room, we have the opportunity to be the most human. Each of us can love more, care more, listen more deeply, see each other more fully, and wrap our arms around one another in a new and profound way.

Dear God, May we never lose sight of our shared humanity. May love, compassion, and truth guide us closer to one another and back home to ourselves. Amen.” (Thank you, Maria Shriver)

“Can I tell you something privately? I feel as unsettled in my spirit as you do. I know that we are both standing here, making our brave witness to peace and to justice, but I also know that every day seems to bring more reasons to be anxious that things will only get more chaotic. So, yes, I am as unsettled as you. But can I tell you something else? As long as you are here, I will be here. Your faith and your courage inspire me, and many more like me, to keep standing for what we believe. So, yes, we may both be a little afraid, but we will face that fear together, and sometimes that's all we need.” The Rt. Rev. Steven Charleston
