Tim Walz Calls for Mass Resistance Against ICE in Minnesota
Gov. Tim Walz announced that 2,000 to 3,000 armed federal agents have been deployed to Minnesota as part of immigration enforcement operations he described as a “campaign of organized brutality,” Wednesday night.
During a press conference streamed live on Youtube, Walz said ICE agents are conducting door-to-door operations, making traffic stops and detaining individuals at grocery stores, bus stops and schools. He added that agents are “ordering people to point out where their neighbors of color live” and “pulling over people indiscriminately, including U.S. citizens, and demanding to see their papers.”
The governor claimed federal operations have included “breaking windows, dragging pregnant women down the street” and “shoving them into unmarked vans.”
