John 11:14-15

The miracles that Jesus did here on earth were signs to His followers and to unbelievers that He was the great I AM. He is still working those miracles in the present by those who in faith believe  and call upon His name. Every time a prayer is answered our faith in Him increases and in the measure that we believe, is the measure that we can receive! Praise be to God....

Jesus was not glad that Lazarus was dead. He was glad for the opportunity the disciples would soon have to see an amazing miracle. The disciples had already believed, but each new trial offered an opportunity for their faith to grow.

John 11:14-15

¹⁴ Then Jesus said to them plainly,  “Lazarus is dead. ¹⁵ And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him.”
