Proverbs 10:12

When will we learn to show others the love shown to us by God? His love was manifested in the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, a free gift to man, and is given freely to all people. His love covers a multitude of sin. Can we not do the same?

This verse describes interpersonal relationships, not salvation. When people respond in love to each other, they cover over the sins, or offenses, that would otherwise come between them.

Proverbs 10:12

12 Hatred stirs up strife,

 But love covers all sins.
