Mark 3:20-21

Being a follower of Christ will not win you popularity…..in fact it most likely will make people shy away from you. 

There will always be those who will think that you are out of your mind especially if they knew you before. Joy in the Lord will be your strength.

Hang in there and show everyone great love and compassion for we are all fallen and in need of God’s divine help.

Opposition to Jesus came not only from His enemies. Jesus’ own people, no doubt close friends and perhaps even relatives, heard of His teaching and assumed that He was out of His mind.

Mark 3:20-21

²⁰ Then the multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. ²¹ But when His own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, for they said, “He is out of His mind.”

⁸I have become a stranger to my brothers, And an alien to my mother’s children; 

Psalm 69:8

⁵⁵Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? 

Matthew 13:55

³ Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him. 

Mark 6:3

⁵ For even His brothers did not believe in Him. 

John 7:5

²⁴ Now as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you mad!”
