Micah 2:1-2

It is the Lord’s to give and it is His to take away.
Everything belongs to the Father. Every. Thing.

The ethical teaching of the prophets regularly included oracles of judgment against greed, theft, and oppression, actions of the powerful in attacking the weak. It is the Lord who ultimately gives a person strength, courage, and ability to exercise the virtues of godly living.

And what does He require of us?
To be fair, forgive freely and know humbly that He is the Creator and we are mere men!

Micah 2:1-2
Woe to those who devise iniquity,
And work out evil on their beds!
At morning light they practice it,
Because it is in the power of their hand.
2 They covet fields and take them by violence,
Also houses, and seize them.
So they oppress a man and his house,
A man and his inheritance.

They are all hot, like an oven, And have devoured their judges; All their kings have fallen. gNone among them calls upon Me.
Hosea 7:7

Woe to those who join house to house; They add field to field, Till there is no place Where they may dwell alone in the midst of the land!
Isaiah 5:8

He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?

Micah 6:8
