Isaiah 27:1

God wins. Nothing that comes against Him will stand.
In the Father, as He sees Jesus in us, we are kept safe through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Leviathan was mythological, dragon-like deity who symbolized chaos and who battled unsuccessfully against God. Isaiah borrows the imagery of this battle myth to teach that God will triumph over all who oppose Him.

Isaiah 27:1
    In that day the Lord with His severe sword, great and strong,
Will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent,
Leviathan that twisted serpent;
And He will slay the reptile that is in the sea.

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
Genesis 3:1

You divided the sea by Your strength; You broke the heads of the sea serpents in the waters.
Psalm 74:13

You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces, And gave him as food to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
Psalm 74:14

The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty; The Lord is clothed, He has girded Himself with strength. Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved. 2Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting.

Psalm 93:1–2
