We need the Holy Spirit to direct and to guide us as individuals and in the Church, the Body of Christ. Prophesy is one of His gifts and we should respect and use it wisely or run the risk of not allowing God to speak. Micah's prophesies spoke of the condemnation but also the mercy of God to His children.... it is to them that prophesies are given.
The words of God bring good to the righteous even as they bring judgment against the wicked.
Micah 2:6-7
6 “Do not prattle,” you say to those who prophesy.
So they shall not prophesy to you;
They shall not return insult for insult.
7 You who are named the house of Jacob:
“Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted?
Are these His doings?
Do not My words do good
To him who walks uprightly?
